Hermes Manager v1.5 is the first open-code manager designed with Homebrew tools. It is based on PSLIGHT, Tiny3D, PS3Soundlib, and OpenPS3FTP, making it a powerful tool for PS3 users, especially for those running CFW 3.41 or compatible systems.

Installation Instructions
Prerequisites:
- A PS3 console with CFW 3.41 or above.
- A USB drive formatted in FAT32.
- The Hermes Manager v1.5 files (available as a ZIP or RAR archive).
- An external hard drive (optional, for storing games).
- PSGroove/Hermesv4 Payload or other compatible payloads.
Step 1: Download the Hermes Manager v1.5 Files
- Download the Hermes Manager v1.5.
- Extract the files from the ZIP or RAR archive to your computer.
Step 2: Transfer the Files to Your USB Drive
- Connect your FAT32-formatted USB drive to your computer.
- Inside the extracted folder, locate the “HMANAGER” folder and copy its contents to the root directory of the USB drive (i.e., not inside any subfolder).
Step 3: Insert the USB Drive into the PS3
- Insert the USB drive into one of the available USB ports on your PS3.
- Turn on your PS3 and wait for it to load.
Step 4: Launch Hermes Manager v1.5
- Navigate to the Game menu on the XMB (cross-media bar) of your PS3.
- You should see the Hermes Manager v1.5 icon appear (if the file was copied correctly).
- Select the Hermes Manager icon to launch the application.
Step 5: Configure the Settings
- Once Hermes Manager v1.5 is running, you can configure the settings according to your needs:
- Game Directory: Set the directory for your games (either internal or external HDD).
- Screen Adjustments: Adjust the screen for your display.
- Background Color: Customize the appearance of the interface.
- FTP Settings: Enable FTP if you wish to transfer files to/from your PS3 via FTP.
Step 6: Using Hermes Manager v1.5
- You can now load games from your internal/external hard drive, Blu-ray, or other connected devices.
- Test and delete games, modify settings for individual games, and more using the HMANAGER options.
Optional: Configuring Hermes Manager v1.5 for Advanced Features
- FTP Support:
- After launching Hermes Manager v1.5, navigate to the Global Options screen.
- Enable FTP Server to access your PS3’s file system over a network. You will see an IP address and port on the screen for the FTP connection.
- EBOOT.BIN Replacement:
- You can replace the EBOOT.BIN for specific games from a USB device. Ensure the EBOOT.BIN file is placed in the
/dev_usb/ps3game
directory.

- To launch games with split files (such as
.6660xx
extensions), ensure the game folder is properly marked with the_
prefix in theGAMEZ
directory.

- If you want enhanced security, you can enable Syscall Security to block certain system calls used by other programs.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with FTP, ensure your PS3 is connected to the same network as your computer and the FTP server is enabled in the Global Options.
If the Hermes Manager v1.5 application doesnโt appear on the XMB, double-check that the files were correctly copied to the USB drive.
Ensure your CFW version is compatible (3.41 or above).
Controls
At Games Screen:
- LEFT/RIGHT/UP/DOWN -> Move to select game. When limits are reached, it changes the screen.
- CROSS -> Load game options and go to the XMB.
- TRIANGLE -> Exit to XMB.
- SELECT -> Go to game configuration options.
- START -> Go to HMANAGER global settings.
Favourites:
- L2 + TRIANGLE -> Move favourites.
- CROSS -> Favourites swap / Replace (Moving favourites).
- TRIANGLE -> Cancel (Moving favourites).
In Configuration Options and Everywhere:
- UP/DOWN -> Move between selections.
- LEFT/RIGHT -> Select (in Config.Game).
- CROSS -> Select.
- CIRCLE -> Return.
At Any Time:
- L2 + R2 + START -> Screen adjust.

The expected name is “ID”.BIN (e.g., in GT5 the name would be BCES-00569.BIN). This feature requires payload v4D and the activation of the “extern EBOOT.BIN” feature.
