What’s New in Pretty Manager vr4:
- Background Customization: Loads the PIC1.PNG from the game directory to display it as the background in full resolution. The application caches the images in the /dev_hdd0/game/OMAN46756/cache/ directory to speed up browsing of backups on USB devices
- Homebrew Mode: Displays the current IP address in the bottom left corner for easier access to network management.
- “Multi-language Support: Automatically detects and uses the system language, supporting English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, and Swedish.
- Free Space Display: Shows available free space under each storage device.
- Enhanced FTP Access: Built-in FTP now gives access to the full filesystem, not just the /OMAN46756/ directory.
- Clean Exit: Exits cleanly to the XMB by watching for the CELL_SYSUTIL_REQUEST_EXITGAME signal.
- Launch Directly into Title: Adds an option at selection to launch directly into the chosen title (may not work with all backups).
- Hermes Patch Support: Toggle Hermes patch support with R3 (note: may introduce issues).
- Scrolling Features: Use left/right buttons to scroll by pages or L2/R2 for rapid scrolling.
- Custom Boot Sound: Can install a custom boot sound to /OMAN46756/USRDIR/BOOT.AT3.
- PS3 Update File Exclusion: Skips PS3 update files when backing up from a Blu-ray disc to save space.
Important Notice:
To install Pretty Manager vr4 or any of its updates, you must have dev_blind mounted on your PS3. If this step is skipped, you may encounter installation errors, such as error code (8001003A). Ensure that dev_blind is properly mounted before proceeding with the installation to avoid any issues.
Installing Installing
- For CFW (Custom Firmware):
- Ensure your device is running a compatible version of CFW.
- Mount dev_blind before installation, or you will encounter an error (8001003A) during installation.
- Once dev_blind is mounted, install the update like any other package.
- For HEN (Homebrew Enabler):
- The process is similar if you’re using HEN, but make sure you’re running a version that supports homebrew application installations.
- Mount dev_blind first to avoid the error.
- Proceed with the installation through the usual package manager.
