PS3 HFW 4.88 Installation instructions
- Plug your FAT32 formatted USB drive on your PC.
- Create folder PS3>UPDATE in uppercase.
- Put your HFW 4.88 inside UPDATE folder.

- Go to Setting ⇒ System Update ⇒ Update via Storage Media.

- Press X button on Flash Memory Manager and select your USB drive.

FAQs
CFW is not compatible with your PS3 system. Install PS3HEN and check your PS3 model. If it’s CECH-2508B or below mode. Install HEN and check again your PS3 with MinVer.
CFW requires min firmware version to be 3.55, super slim shipped with 4.XX, You can break your PS3 if you try to install CFW on it.
If you want to play only backup games, there are no significant differences. You can install and run MultiMan on both exploited systems.
