PSNinja – Allows to manage your console’s history and privacy settings

PSNinja is a powerful tool for PS3 users that allows you to manage your console’s history and privacy settings. This homebrew application provides several advanced features such as the ability to appear offline to friends, wipe and replace history files, and clear your web browser’s history. PSNinja v4.0 is stealthily disguised as a game, allowing it to operate unnoticed by the PlayStation Network, making it an ideal choice for users seeking privacy and security while using their PS3.

Important Notice: This homebrew is obsolete. Do not use it on recent CFW.

Explanation of Features:

  • Wipe History: Deletes all history files.
  • Replace History: Replaces history with fake history files found in dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30017/USRDIR/files.
  • Make History Files Read Only: Makes history files read-only so no new games or homebrew will be added to them.
  • Make History Writable: Makes history files writable again.
  • Clear Browser History: Deletes history.xml from the web browser.
  • Hide From Friends: Makes you appear offline to others, even if you’re online.
  • Be Seen Again: Makes you visible to friends again.

Notes on Making Files Read-Only:

Once history files are made read-only, this will remain in effect even after resetting the system. Essentially, no more history wiping ever again.

However, you must disable other apps from erasing history, such as MultiMan. For MultiMan, follow these steps:

  • Go to its folder via FTP: /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/options_default.ini
  • Open the file in Notepad or another text editor.
  • Find clear_activity_logs=1 and change it to clear_activity_logs=0.
  • Save and reload it via FTP. Now MultiMan won’t clear your history anymore.

Other managers like Gaia may have similar options, so be sure to check their readme files for instructions.

Installing Instruction :

  1. For CFW (Custom Firmware):
    • Ensure your device is running a compatible version of CFW.
    • Mount dev_blind before installation to avoid errors.
    • Once dev_blind is mounted, install the PSNinja v4.0 package as you would any other PKG file.
  2. For HEN (Homebrew Enabler):
    • Ensure you’re using a version of HEN that supports homebrew applications.
    • Mount dev_blind before installation to avoid errors.
    • Proceed with the installation via the package manager.

Once installed, you can access the new features of PSNinja v4.0, including the ability to wipe or replace history, appear offline, and manage your web browser’s history.
